I have several commissions for very large pieces.  Two of them were 60″ wide x 40 high and certainly presented challenges.  The hot wax cooled by the time it left the hot palette to the area I was painting.  It was also difficult not to drip wax on the painting in the wrong places.

I found a wonderful solution.  A rolling table like the ones used over hospital beds proved to be perfect for moving around the painting and keeping palettes nearby.  I also created a lazy susan using two boxes beneath the panels.  They allowed me to easily rotate the panels.

Painting these commissions is now a pleasure!
